Functional Business Solutions offers:

  • Advisory related to bookkeeping and general business recordkeeping

All services are provided based on the information supplied by the client. We are not responsible for errors caused by incomplete, inaccurate, or late information provided by you.

We do not provide:

  • Tax preparation

  • Legal advice

  • Financial investment advice

2. Client Responsibilities

To ensure accurate bookkeeping, clients agree to:

  • Provide timely and complete financial information

  • Respond to requests for documents or clarification

  • Maintain access to any financial platforms needed (e.g., QuickBooks, bank portals)

  • Notify us promptly of any changes in business operations

If information is delayed, missing, or inaccurate, service timelines may be extended.

3. Payment Terms

Payment policies may vary depending on the service package or engagement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Service fees are due as specified on the invoice.

  • Monthly bookkeeping is billed in advance or on a recurring monthly basis.

  • Cleanup or project-based work may require a deposit before services begin.

  • Late payments may result in suspension of services.

All fees are non-refundable once work has begun.

4. Cancellations & Termination

You may cancel services at any time by providing written notice.
For monthly bookkeeping:

  • Services continue through the end of the current billing period.

  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

We reserve the right to terminate services if:

  • Information is repeatedly delayed or withheld

  • Payments are overdue

  • Professional boundaries are not respected

  • We determine the engagement is not a good fit

In the event of termination, you will receive access to all completed work up to that date.

5. Accuracy of Information

While we strive for accuracy and professionalism, the accuracy of your bookkeeping depends on the quality and completeness of the information you provide. We do not guarantee financial outcomes, tax outcomes, or compliance beyond the scope of the services you engage us for.

6. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality with all client information.
Financial documents are stored using secure, industry-standard systems.

We do not share client data except:

  • When required to complete your bookkeeping

  • With your permission

  • When required by law

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by you for those services within the previous 90 days.

  • We are not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or late information provided by the client.

8. No Professional Tax or Legal Advice

Any guidance provided is for bookkeeping purposes only.
We do not provide tax filing, legal services, or investment advice.
You are responsible for consulting appropriate professionals for those services.

9. Use of the Website
